Sosa wraps up second as young guns shine

Ivan Sosa made sure of second place overall at La Route d’Occitanie to cap off a strong race for Team INEOS’ youngsters.
The Colombian finished in the peloton as a bunch kick, won by Arnaud Demare (Groupama-FDJ), decided the final day of action in Clermont-Pouyguilles.
Team INEOS pushed the pace on the final climb with Eddie Dunbar to the fore. The Irishman finished safely to secure fifth place overall after playing a starring role on the opening stage. Pavel Sivakov picked up eighth on GC to make it three riders in the top 10.
Christian Knees and Sebastian Henao got through a lot of work to keep the race together on the final day, keeping the six-man break in check. Chris Lawless hit the final climb in a good position but was unable to battle it out in the final sprint.
