Carlos Rodriguez put in an attacking ride as part of a strong team performance to finish second on stage three and move up to second overall at La Route d'Occitanie.
Rodriguez attacked a select lead group with 20 kilometres remaining, after strong pace work from his teammates had whittled the peloton down, with only Michael Woods (Israel - Premier Tech) able to follow him.
The duo then worked together to extend their lead to over a minute, with a host of GC rivals chasing behind.
Woods then attacked on the final climb, slowly extending his lead as Rodriguez finished strongly to move up to second overall and top the best young rider classification.
