Tour de France stage 20 time trial: Lure › La Planche des Belles Filles, 36.2km

Richard Carapaz narrowly missed out on winning the King of the Mountains classification as Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) put in a remarkable performance on stage 20's mountain time trial to win the Tour de France.

Pogacar won the stage to overhaul race leader Primoz Roglic (Team Jumbo-Visma) and claim the yellow jersey and he also was fastest to ascend the Planche des Belles Filles climb, claiming the maximum 10 points available. 

Carapaz was was unable to add to his overall tally and stayed on 74 points, while Pogacar moved ahead of him on 82 points.  

The Ecuadorian finished second overall in the competition to crown the best climber, and finished 13th in the general classification following the penultimate stage's tough test.
