“I think I should be happy with the result. This is my first race of the season and I think that, looking at my numbers, I did a really good time trial. I should be happy because my first big goal will be Le Tour de France. I can’t be at 100% in the nationals but it’s a good test ahead of the next races.”

Final result:

1. Daniel Martinez (EF Education First) 48:02
2. Nairo Quintana (Team Arkea Samsic) +28"
3. Egan Bernal (Team INEOS) +32"
4. Brandon Rivera (Team INEOS) +1:51"

5. Esteban Chaves (Mitchelton-Scott) +1:57"
