Tour de France - Stage 10 » Albertville › Valence, 190.7km

Richard Carapaz rode hard in a difficult finale to stage 10 at the Tour de France to retain his GC position.
The Ecuadorian placed himself well in the bunch as the peloton split into three on the run into Valence, as crosswinds made a short-lived impact. The race came back together and Michal Kwiatkowski and Dylan van Baarle arrived to drive the peloton into the final 5km.
Carapaz finished in the bunch on a day that saw Mark Cavendish take another stage win at the race. Carapaz remains in fifth place, 5:33 back ahead of a massive mountain day on Wednesday and a double ascent of Mont Ventoux.
With 67km to go a number of Grenadiers were involved in a crash, with Richie Porte and Geraint Thomas among those to hit the deck. Luke Rowe, Tao Geoghegan Hart and Kwiatkowski were also held up by the accident but were able to quickly return to the bunch.
Tadej Pogacar kept hold of the yellow jersey as the race prepares to head into its next phase.
