Richard Carapaz took his first win for Team INEOS in style after launching a long-range sprint on stage three at the Tour of Poland.

The Ecuadorian hit out with over 300 metres to go on the drag into the finish at Bielsko-Biala, leaping clear of his rivals and holding on to take an impressive victory.

That success was enough to elevate Carapaz into the yellow leader’s jersey, holding a four-second advantage after three stages.

Eddie Dunbar was also in the mix as a reduced bunch contested the finish, moving up to 10th place overall, 10 seconds back on his teammate heading into the weekend.

Team INEOS worked hard over the final laps of the finishing circuit, each ensuring the pace remained high to provide a perfect launchpad for Carapaz.
