Sand storm hits Dubai on day three

Stage three of the Dubai Tour saw sandstorms, crashes and multiple splits of the peloton ahead of a sprint finish as Elia Viviani finished seventh.

Indeed, at its worse, the conditions forced the peloton - which was chasing a four-man breakaway -  into three sections, with leader Marcel Kittel (QST) forced to work hard to restore parity

Last time I ate so much sand was when I was 3 years old. It tasted better. Crazy, fast stage!
Once the sand had cleared, it was John Degenkolb (TSF) who won the sprint finish, with Viviani seventh
