Ferrand-Prevot powers to victory in Switzerland

Pauline Ferrand-Prevot powered to victory in the Rivera round of the Swiss Cup. The victory is the Frenchwoman’s fourth victory of the season in mountain bike events.

A steady start saw Ferrand-Prevot form part of a lead group of six until just before halfway through the six lap course. 

Then, Pauline upped the pace through a tricky rock garden and ensuing climb, and a divide was quickly established. 

The gap grew rapidly to over a minute, and would stay there until the end.
