Giro d'Italia stage 11: Porto Sant'Elpidio > Rimini, 182km. Scheldeprijs: Schoten › Schoten, 173.3km

Ben Swift sprinted to a top 20 finish, with Tao Geoghegan Hart close behind, as Arnaud Demare (Groupama-FDJ) won stage 11 of the Giro d'Italia.

On one of the few flat stages left in this year's Giro, Sander Armee (Lotto Soudal) looked as though he may spoil the sprinters' day after amassing a large lead from the early breakaway that lasted until the latter stages.

However, the solo leader was reeled back in thanks to the INEOS Grenadiers and other teams pushing the pace in order to setup the sprint and position their GC riders for a technical finish in Rimini.

The team delivered Swift to the final sprint, and he finished 18th on the stage, with Geoghegan Hart finishing safely behind ahead of stage 12's stern climbing test.

At Scheldeprijs, Carlos Rodriguez was the first INEOS Grenadier to cross the line as Caleb Ewan (Lotto Soudal) won the Belgian classic.

Rodriguez finished behind the lead sprint group following a chaotic finale that was marred by a high-speed crash.
