Ethan Hayter made sure of victory at the Tour of Poland to claim his first overall stage race success at the World Tour level.

The 23 year old became the first Brit to win the race overall after finishing safely on stage seven, with an eventual margin of 11 seconds over Thymen Arensman (Team DSM).

Hayter was well supported by his team on the final run into Krakow, just needing to cross the line amongst the bunch sprint to make sure of victory.

The Grenadiers also wrapped up the team prize for the race, with Ben Tulett also putting in an impressive GC performance to claim fifth place overall.

It was also a good day for the team at Vuelta a Burgos as Pavel Sivakov retained the overall lead.

The team did a great job of controlling the penultimate stage, placing Brandon Rivera up the road to monitor the 14-man break, and then riding behind via Omar Fraile to ensure the move didn’t become a threat to the GC

With the break securing the top placings Sivakov finished in the peloton behind, with Tao Geoghegan amongst the leading riders to finish. The Brit remains fourth overall ahead of the final day, which poses the traditional summit finish atop Lagunas de Neila.

Sivakov retained his 23-second margin, with Geoghegan Hart another three seconds back heading into what should be a grandstand finish.
