No GC change in Le Coteau

Critérium du Dauphiné stage 3: Monistrol-sur-Loire › Le Coteau, 194km.

The INEOS Grenadiers put in a well-rounded team performance to ensure the trio of General Classification (GC) riders retained their overall positions.

The sprinters came to the fore on stage three with Christophe Laporte (Jumbo Visma) winning a bunch kick following a fast-paced, nervy run into the line which the Grenadiers safely navigated.

Strong pacing from Jonathan Castroviejo, Omar Fraile and finally Ben Turner ensured the team made it safely to the finish, with the trio of Egan Bernal, Carlos Rodriguez and Dani Martinez remaining 23 seconds behind race leader Laporte.

The next test for the Grenadiers will be a hilly 31.5km time trial which looks set to create time gaps ahead of sterner GC stages in the second half of the race
