Vuelta a Espana stage 12: Jaén › Córdoba (175km).

Egan Bernal and Adam Yates finished a fast-paced stage 12 of the Vuelta a Espana safely in a reduced bunch as Magnus Cort Nielsen (EF Education First Nippo) sprinted to victory. 

A crash in the final 55 kilometres threatened to affect Yates' GC hopes when was involved in an incident with Salvatore Puccio and Dylan van Baarle on a short descent during the Alto de San Jeronimo climb. 

The crash saw the trio come down alongside a host of Yates' and Bernal's GC rivals, but fortunately every rider able to be able to continue.

Yates was soon able to re-join the peloton some 10 kilometres later as the pace gradually increased on the downhill approach into Córdoba before finishing in a reduced bunch sprint.
