Plapp secures Romandie top 10

Luke Plapp continued his highly promising debut season at the top level after finishing ninth overall at Tour de Romandie.
The young Australian secured a first WorldTour top-10 finish amidst elite company in Switzerland. The Grenadier dug deep on a tough uphill time trial finale and was able to hold on to a strong finish.
Geraint Thomas was the team's fastest rider on the 15.84km finale, clocking the 13th quickest time, and eventually finishing 19th overall.
The final day saw major GC movement, with Aleksandr Vlasov (Bora-Hansgrohe) jumping up two places to win the race overall ahead of Gino Mader (Bahrain Victorious).
After his two stage wins earlier in the week, Ethan Hayter was able to hold on to win the points classification and the orange jersey.
