Vuelta a España stage 8: La Pola Llaviana/Pola de Laviana › Colláu Fancuaya, 153.4km.
Carlos Rodriguez and Tao Geoghegan Hart put in battling performances to move up to fourth and fifth respectively after stage eight of La Vuelta a España.
Rodriguez was first home in ninth after coming in just behind the lead GC trio of Remco Evenepoel, Enric Mas and Primoz Roglic after a gruelling final climb.
Geoghegan Hart had attacked in the final kilometres, but was caught and followed close behind his teammate in 11th as the pair lost time on the leaders, but moved ahead of other GC riders ahead of them.
