Tour de France stage 19: Mourenx › Libourne, 207km

Richard Carapaz maintained third overall as the general classification remained unchanged after stage 19 of the Tour de France. 

Carapaz finished alongside his GC rivals in the peloton, with the stage win going to Matej Mohoric (Bahrain-Victorious) who successfully attacked from the early breakaway to seal a memorable solo victory. 

Earlier, the Grenadiers had attempted to enliven the stage by attacking from the bunch, with Michal Kwiatkowski active in trying to escape the peloton. However, an unfortunately-timed crash caused the bunch to slow down and cease attacks to allow the affected riders to re-join..

The pace then picked up again as a large group countered and joined the initial break, ensuring the front group's efforts were not in vain and the peloton - with one eye on Saturday's time trial - did not chase the break which allowed Mohoric to stay clear.
