Pavel Sivakov finished in sixth place overall at the Tour of the Alps as the Grenadier came home as part of the general classification group on the final day of racing.

Sivakov was able to secure a top-10 finish despite a crash on stage three, and rack up some good racing kilometres ahead of May's Giro d'Italia. He eventually finished 2:44 back on runaway race winner Simon Yates (Team BikeExchange).

With Felix Grossschartner (Bora-Hansgrohe) up the road taking a solo stage victory, Gianni Moscon sprinted to fourth in Riva del Garda, adding to his pair of stage victories from the race.

Ivan Sosa was also present in the day's breakaway, which split across the day's five climbs before the Colombian was reeled in heading on to the final lap.

Overall standings:

1. Simon Yates (Team BikeExchange) 18:36:06
2. Pello Bilbao (Bahrain Victorious) +58"
3. Aleksandr Vlasov (Astana - Premier Tech) +1:06"
4. Jefferson Cepeda (Androni Giocattoli - Sidermec) +2:25"
5. Hugh Carthy (EF Education - Nippo) +2:37"
6. Pavel Sivakov (INEOS Grenadiers) +2:44"
