Deutschland Tour - Stage two: Marburg › Göttingen, 202km

Ben Swift sprinted to fourth place on day two of the Deutschland Tour after an active day for Team INEOS.

The British champ narrowly missed out on a top-three finish in Göttingen, with Alexander Kristoff (UAE Team Emirates) taking the win.

Both Luke Rowe and latterly Geraint Thomas put in a large amount of work to help chase down the solo attack of Remco Evenepoel (Deceuninck-Quick-Step). The young Belgian was eventually reeled in on the finishing circuit.

Pavel Sivakov was very attentive to attacks on the day, following a number of moves. A high pace saw overnight leader Pascal Ackermann (Bora-Hansgrohe) distanced.

Swift is the best-placed INEOS rider on the GC, sitting 10th, 16 seconds back on Kristoff, with teammate Jhonatan Narvaez sharing the same time.
