Thomas holds third ahead of TT test

Geraint Thomas maintained third overall heading into the decisive time trial at the Tour de France as stage 19 finished with a reduced bunch sprint in Cahors.
Thomas was safely navigated through a technical and high-paced finale by his teammates as the peloton chased down a late break in the final kilometre, with Christoph Laporte (Jumbo Visma) winning the stage.
Luke Rowe and Dylan van Baarle were key in leading Thomas and the peloton around a winding final 10 kilometres ,which featured numerous roundabouts, to ensure the Welshman finished safely in the pack to hold onto third overall with two stages remaining.
