Jhonatan Narvaez sprinted to 10th place in a hotly contested finish to stage six at the Giro d'Italia.
The Ecuadorian enjoyed strong support on the run into Matera, with Rohan Dennis, Filippo Ganna and finally Ben Swift putting him into position ahead of the final climb.
Arnaud Demare (Groupama-FDJ) produced a well-timed sprint to claim a second stage victory on the day, holding off closest challenger Michael Matthews (Team Sunweb).
Ganna returned to the podium as he retained his blue mountains jersey by a single point. Tao Geoghegan Hart remains 19th overall on the general classification, 3:18 back on the pink jersey of Joao Almeida (Deceuninck-Quick-Step).
