Filippo Ganna fired to second place in the third stage time trial at the Baloise Belgium Tour, to also take second place on the GC.
Ganna clocked a time of 10:33.0, four seconds behind British rider Ethan Hayter (Soudal Quick-Step) on the 9.7km stage to take second place on the stage. The Italian rider currently sits two seconds behind Hayter overall, with two hilly stages remaining.
Connor Swift was the first of the Grenadiers to fire into the podium slots, clocking a second quickest time of 10:48, before finishing sixth. Ben Turner also rode well to finish just behind in ninth to see three Grenadiers in the top-10 of the stage. Swift now also sits seventh on the GC, with Turner one place behind in eighth.
Tour de Suisse
Over in Switzerland, an early break was caught in the final kilometre, with Ben Swift well positioned in the bunch sprint to take 14th place on the stage.
Two more stages in the mountains remain, with the final 10km mountain time trial on Sunday.
