Filippo Ganna secured second place and a silver medal at the European Time Trial Championships in France.
Riding in the colours of Italy, Ganna crossed the line 43 seconds back on victor Remco Evenepoel (Belgium). The result marked a third European podium for Ganna and equalled his best finish in the event.
Josh Tarling was also in action for Great Britain, picking up a fifth place finish as the 2023 European champion continues his comeback from injury.
Dane Niklas Larsen rounded out the podium places in Etoile-sur-Rhone.

Wednesday also saw the second stage of CRO Race take place, with Ben Turner sprinting to third place.
The Brit once again latched onto a strong leadout from his Grenadiers teammates. In a battle for position, the team hit the front with 7km to go and then 3.5km to go to set up the sprint.
The result elevated Turner to sixth overall, 16 seconds behind back to back stage winner Paul Magnier (Soudal - Quick-Step).
The stage was shortened to just 51km due to high winds.
