INEOS Grenadiers have expanded their talent pathway through a new development partnership with Italian junior programme Team Nordest Petrucci Assali Stefen.

The collaboration forms part of the team’s strategy to strengthen relationships across the sport’s development system by supporting promising riders earlier in their progression while sharing knowledge and experience from the WorldTour level.

Following the launch of the INEOS Grenadiers Racing Academy, this partnership builds on the team’s existing development partnerships with leading British outfit camsmajaco, and the highly-regarded Hot Tubes Development Cycling Team in North America.

Geraint Thomas, Director of Racing at INEOS Grenadiers, said: “One of the most important things for young riders is learning about themselves and understanding what it takes to get to the top of the sport. Partnerships like this are about sharing experience and helping create the right environment for their talent to grow.

“Italy has such a strong cycling culture and Team Nordest Petrucci Assali Stefen is a well-run programme with a real focus on developing riders properly. By working together we can support that process, and hopefully help more young riders make that next step in the years ahead.”
