Speaking after the win, Milesi said:
"It’s nice to win a time trial. I know it’s a good discipline for me - I was always up there, second or top five, but to take the win is really nice. It’s the first win with my new team so a good day and I’m really happy.
"Yesterday I wasn’t the best in the crosswind, so today I was hungry and I really wanted to push myself in the time trial. The parcours didn’t suit me that well with a lot of corners, but after the recon this morning, I really felt confident on the bike. I prepared really well at home also so I’m really happy."
