Brandon Rivera claimed a crowd-pleasing victory in his homeland as he became the Colombian National Time Trial Champion for the first time.
The INEOS Grenadier put in one of the strongest rides of his career across the 44-kilometre course in Zipaquira.
The time of 47 minutes and three seconds proved to be 1:53 quicker than his nearest rival, Dani Martinez (Red Bull – Bora – Hansgrohe), with Rodrigo Contreras (Nu Colombia) rounding out the podium places.
2025 winner Egan Bernal finished fifth on the day and will look to target victory alongside Rivera on Sunday in the national road race.
