Sam Watson continues GC battle at the Deutschland Tour, while Axel Laurance sprinted to seventh on the Belgian cobbles at the Renewi Tour.
An attack on one of the last climbs saw Artem Shmidt lead out Watson in a bid for bonus seconds, and the acceleration continued over the top as a small group rode clear of the peloton.
Watson just ran out of legs as further attacks were made, with Jhonatan Narvaez (UAE Team Emirates - XRG) taking the win from a break of three.
The Brit rode into Arnsberg with the main peloton, and is now sixth on the GC 17 seconds behind leader Søren Wærenskjold (Uno-X Mobility) with two stages remaining.

Over in Belgium, Axel Laurance led home the peloton on the third stage of the Renewi Tour, winning the bunch sprint on the cobbles to finish seventh on the stage.
Laurance had bridged over to the front group of 22 inside the final 50km, with Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin - Deceuninck) taking the win from a three up sprint.
