Sam Watson sprinted to seventh place to cap off the Tour Down Under in Stirling.
The British road race champion, who opened up the race with victory in the Prologue, dug deep in the uphill sprint to secure back to back top 10s on the final weekend.
Michal Kwiatkowski once again piloted Watson into the final kilometre as the three-man breakaway were caught as the climb began to ramp up.
Matthew Brennan (Visma | Lease a Bike) timed his effort well to claim the stage victory, while Jay Vine (UAE Team Emirates – XRG) finished safely to secure overall victory.
In his debut race for the team, Embret Svestad-Bardseng led the INEOS Grenadiers home on the general classification in 12th overall. The Norwegian finished on the right side of a split in the bunch, moving up four positions on the final day, just five seconds shy of the top 10.
The first WorldTour race of the season also produced a win on stage three for another Grenadiers debutant, Sam Welsford. The racing action now continues on Thursday at the Surf Coast Classic.
