Ethan Hayter came home second during a thrilling finish to stage two at the Tour of Norway.

The Brit was able to measure his efforts on the uphill climb to Gullingen, and found himself well placed in an elite lead group on the way into the final kilometre.

Oscar Rodriguez worked hard to support his team-mate, as well as his GC ambitions, launching a lead-out prior to the final ramp. He would cross the line an eventual ninth.

Hayter came home second after an impressive turn of speed from Axel Laurance (Alpecin Deceuninck) saw him take victory, and with it the new race lead.

Hayter now sits eighth overall, 46 seconds back, while Oscar occupies seventh (35 seconds down), at the race's halfway point.
